Ultimate Frisbee Challenge & Planetshakers Ultraviolet
The sun, the sand and the sea @ Sentosa!!! What a wonderful setting as we launched our much publicized Ultimate Frisbee Challenge just over this past weekend. In total we had over 80 exciting young people who joined us at Palawan Beach that Saturday morning!
Nobody is ever too old for the game of ultimate frisbee.. young and not-so-young, everyone took on the beach and began hurling the frisbee in different fashions. Some were the professionals whipping the frisbee in forehands and backhands styles. Others were throwing the frisbee as if it was like a piece of large biscuit, fumbling all over and having difficulties in catching it! Haha.. regardless of that, what mattered most was that everyone had loads of fun.. and not forgetting a great sun tan! (Check out the tan-line of my shoulder.. Woosh...)
Just when you think this is a game only for the youngsters... you are wrong! The Ultimate Frisbee finals saw the young guns from Serangoon Secondary School up against the dynamic PE trainee teachers from NIE! Kudos and salutes to the youngsters from Serangoon Sec. as they really gave the young adults a run for their money. After a solid 10 minutes of huffing and puffing, wits, experience and physical build still prevails over the speedy tactics adopted by the youths. But all credits to these young ones.. they've got a big heart and great attitude!
We ended the day with a smashing rock concert at Singapore Expo led by the Planetshakers! Gosh! It was definitely a sight to behold when you witness 7,000 youths gathered together, pumped up and screaming their lungs out! Whoever said that Christians cannot or do not know how to party?? You should have been there to see it for yourself.. christians are just as energetic and exuberant in party.. what's important is that we party with passion and purpose!Never seen it before? Well.. just drop by S'pore Expo Hall 10 every sunday @ 1:30PM..
