One of the deadliest poison which comes out from a CRITIC is when the criticism is directed blatantly towards someone's aspirations or dreams. Decades ago, the sister of an innovative college professor suffered from a hearing deficiency. He was aspired to build a device to help her hear better, from which he invented an unusual contraption. After many years of trial and error and eventual success, the professor was ready to take this device into mass production. He travelled far and wide, searching and seeking favor for financial backings for his dream. But wherever he went, everyone scoffed and laughed at his idea about able to channel human voices through a simple wire.
The professor could have allowed his Critics to discourage him. He could have just thrown in the towel and given up. But he didn't.
Today, nobody laughs at Alexander Graham Bell whom was the inventor of the telephone. You may not know this person even from history. But take a look at your handphone and think about it.. it was Alexander Granham Bell's dream that made Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola possible today.
Don't allow your Critics to snuff out your dreams. Learn to also surround ourselves with people who support and nurture our aspirations. Keep your dreams alive!
