Well, introducing this camera technique called.... "Bokeh". Something new I learnt from my friend, NiVlEm, which can be used easily on any digital camera with the macro shot function.

Well, we have all read news about Siamese twin babies all around the world. Check out this news about Siamese twin FISHES!! Here's an excerpt from the article:

"It is so incredibly rare that you would think Siamese twin fish attached at the stomach would never survive.

But at eight months old, these two Nile Tilapia fish in Thailand have found the perfect way to cope with life upside down... or the right way up if you're the lucky twin.

The bigger fish protects its smaller sibling on the bottom, while it in turn looks for food.

The Nile Tilapia fish is a common freshwater species found in tropical rivers, canals, lakes and ponds but these two were found in a Bangkok aquarium.

The fish can reaches a maximum of 2ft in length and can weigh up to 9lb.

Originally from waters stretching from Africa to the Cape Horn, the fish was introduced to freshwater irrigation systems so as to fight algae growth but has now become a pest.

Behind shrimp and salmon Nile Tilapia is the third most imported fish to the U.S."

Life can be somehow very unfair at times... even to fishes! But do they give up and just die? NO! Though born with handicap and deficiencies, this pair of conjoined twin, they have somehow developed a sense of resilience and continued to pursue survival in their unnatural environment! (Try living your entire life upside down man!)

If a fish can develop such tenacious, never-give-up attitude... Why can't us human beings? Think a bit more about it... we are more than a fish right?!?! Read more on this article...

Just came back from TCS Staff Advance in Lanjut, one of the beautiful beach resort on the East coast of Malaysia. It was really a good time out from the hectic pace of life back in Singapore. There was sufficient rest time, play time, good food, wonderful fellowship..... basically I came back really well rested, recharged and ready to go! Woohoo!

I was never a fan of Japanese food.. I didn't like cold noodles, neither did I like goobling down raw food.. and least to mention the taste of that brian-choking and stimulating Wasabi! Yeeks!

But every since last year when I came to Japan, I fell in love with Japanese food. The sushi are really fresh and delicately made by the sushi-master LIVE in front of you. The juicy-ness (pardon my English.. can't find a better word to describe the feeling) of the fresh raw prawns, tuna and salmon... *I am drooling already*... and the formerly yucky Wasabi has turned out to be something exciting and thrilling! It's just like eating spicy stuff... though you sweat like a pig as you eat it, but you just keep coming back for more!

This trip to Tokyo, I had the joy of going down to the Tsukiji Fish Market right smack early in the morning (5:00AM to be exact!) and witness the largest wholesale transactions of fresh seafood! To honest, I wasn't too keen on sushi and sashimi after that morning tour of its origin.. check it out yourself....


Here's how a typical stall in the Tsukiji Fish Market looks like. This is only 5% of the entire wholesale centre!


Check out the size of this GIGANTIC Tuna fish! In length, it is comparable to the height of a 6 year old child.


Alright.. here's my close encounter with this monster! *hey fishy fishy fishy fishy...*


And after come samurai slashing and slicing... here's how they all end up... honestly it was quite a bloody scene on site.


And the prices are really cheap! :)


And typically that's how they all end up. Food on the table for all of us, beautifully designed for our pleasure and consumption. :)

One moment I was in reservist (last week), and the next moment, I have flown 7,000 miles across the oceans of South East Asia and touched down in the Land of the Rising Sun - Japan! This is a picture of my small but sweet and cosy hotel room. Armed with LAN connection, I am still very much connect back to homeland Singapore via the cyberspace.

Why am I here far far away in the land flowing with Sashimi and Udon noodles? Well, am here with my colleagues on a conference trip, hearing some of the top researches in the gaming industry present their latest findings about the cyberspace and its social impacts. To be honest, this is definitely an eye-opener cos I never knew there was so much to understand and research upon regarding computer games and internet.A "mountain turtle" like me always thought that computer games were just about.... Hmmm.. Games?!?! Never thought anything further until I saw this......


Ten thousands of people (both Japanese and foreigners) travelled far and long distances, battled through squeezy and confusing Tokyo train system, endured the warm and weird autumn heat of 31 degrees... just to have a first hand look and try at what are some of the latest games on Playstation3, XBox 360, Nintendo Wii...etc. Amazing!!!

Before I caught this beautiful sunrise in Desaru over the past weekend, I have never ever managed to see one before. Yes, not even when I was with my ex-girlfriends did I try such seemingly 'romantic' dates. Somehow, my cosy bed was always more luring than anything else. =P My last failed attempt was to try catching sunrise in Changi coastal area... but before I knew it, the sky was brightly litted up! There wasn't any bright egg yoke as promised! So sad....

On the last day of my Desaru trip, I almost overslept the sunrise moment. Fighting against every single ounce of Z-monster, I dragged myself (and my good friend) out of bed and we went to the beach for a jog along the sandy shoreline.

SPECTACULAR! AWESOME! There were not many words to describe the sunrise view.... Just by staring at the mythical egg yoke rising somehow stirs a wave of new hope inside me.

Away in a foreign country. Uncontactable on handphone. Relaxing time. Beautiful beach. Awesome sunrise. What else could I ask more for?
