Woohoo!!! Just came back on Sunday from a church leaders' retreat in Melaka... and took about 2 days to readjust back to Singapore's hectic lifestyle man! Hahaha... but above all things, this whole retreat was really a wonderful experience, fun, inspiring and refreshing.
We did adventurous stuff like trekking round the Melaka town area by foot for a whole afternoon, visiting historical churches, gobbling down yummy chicken rice balls, slurping on chilling traditional flavour chendol and not forgetting spending "just a bit of time" shopping around. =P
And also for the very first time in our church history, we were all invited for a ballroom dinner! In fact I felt it was a great time where we guys learn more about being gentlemen, appreciating and affirming our sisters. Giving flowers, ballroom dancing, social ettiquetes... these were things that we seldom see nor practice in Singapore even! But through this, it does give me a renewed perspective of viewing this special relationship between Man and Woman whom God had uniquely design and created in His image.
Of course, this whole retreat wasn't just about play.. but we did have talks and sessions with our pastors and I received alot out from the things they shared with us. Will share more in the upcoming posts.. but for now, sit back... relax and enjoy the photo slide show! =)
