Enough is Enough...

Stop Whining!!!

Hectic but simple life... sounds contrary and foolish to everyone.. but to me, this sounds really true and possible. As I begin to prepare for my Shanghai trip this coming weekend... realised that I have alot of work to clear, admin to pass down and meetings to attend before I can leave. On top of this, church youth work is always ongoing and part of my lifestyle, espacially spending more time in taking care of the new believers and reaching out to them

Phew.. Gosh this is really hectic.. my calender and schedule is packed like crazy... If you take a look at my planner, it is super colorfully coded with a wide range of events and things to be done! But how come I am still able to say that even in the midst of busy-ness, I am leading a simple life? Well, to put it simply and is also a revelation that I got... simple life doesn't mean life without problems.... neither does it mean just throwing aside everything and do whatever we like without restraint (e.g. sleep and sleep, or keep playing computer games...etc) .... neither does it mean trying to overkill and pack ourselves with millions of things to do and keeping ourselves occupied!

For the past year, many friends have come up and asked me, "Hey EeJay, how come you always are so carefree and seem to not have any problems in life? Life really so perfect for you meh??" Well, the truth is that life is just as imperfect for me as it is for everyone... I do face similar problems such as work stress, family problems, friendship issues.. But it's just that I choose NOT to let problems overwhelm me.. I know in my heart that there is no problem too big that cannot be resolved. Sometimes we worry, stress ourselves out with problems in life... that makes our life more complicated. Look at it this way... we cannot escape problems in life... Life itself is full of problems... it is about learning how to live with it and overcoming it!

My pastor once shared this in church... "Faith in God is not ignoring the problem. It is about recognising that there IS a problem, and choosing to focus, trust and have that peace in God rather than focus on the problem itself!" Isn't it true? Sometimes we just need to learn to focus on the invisible but yet powerful God, rather than focusing on the visible and seemingly powerful problems! Easier said than done right? Well, that's why we all need God ...

At the end of the day, learn to live out what we learnt, else we will never grow and always be stuck! Let's stop giving excuses for ourselves or self pity or condemn ourselves with false humility... rise up and start fighting for God's sake! Don't be a "bai ka" soldier in life!
