Unbreakable? ... Think again....

Two months ago... I remembered when I made this pair of spectacles at the optician, the guy servicing me was explaining to me how durable and tough this so-called "impact resistant" lens was, and that the lens would not break if the spectacles were to drop. Thus they would cost slightly more than the usual lens. Believing his words, I opted for this seemingly "unbreakable" lens.

Two months down the road.... While I was in a 7-11 shop getting a drink, I took off my specs to clean up those dust and thumbprints on the lens. The store attendant who was shifting some goods accidentally bumped me from behind... I dropped my spectacles and witnessed right before my very eye one of the greatest cover up in customer service history! In a split second, the lens broke into pieces as the pair of spectacle hit the ground.

I have been deceived! The unbreakable has been BROKEN!!!

Nope I wasn't really angry nor upset.. neither did I think of wanting to go back to the optical shop and lodge a complain.. I practically just heaved a sigh and walked home with the remnant carcass of my seemingly unbreakable spectacles. But it did teach and remind me of an important lesson..
