Henry Wanyoike - Conquering Disability And The World

Last year when I ran the Standard Chartered Marathon, I saw two Kenyan runners, one of them wearing sun glasses, running side by side with a cord linking their two hands. It didn't strike me much about the sunglasses and I just thought the cord was a good way to ensure both runners persevere on and didn't drop out of the race.

Just a week ago, I saw an advertisement by Standard Chartered Bank on TV and to my amazement realised that the guy wearing sunglasses was actually blind! And the cord was actually tying him and his race-buddy to ensure he doesn't run off course! My gosh! A blind man running a marathon!

I decided to find out more information about him and stumbled upon this report below. Though it's backdated more than a year back, but I am so inspired and admires this man's persevering spirit despite the handicap he faces and not to mention the rough journeys of life he went through!

Click on the links below and read on. May you be blessed and inspired by Henry Wanyoike's life marathon....
