Webster dictionary definition of OBSESSION:
1. An irrational motive for performing trivial or repetitive actions against your will.
2. An unhealthy and compulsive preoccupation with something or someone.
Look at the shoes in this picture.. Do you think they belong to the same pair? Apparently, one shoe seems to be much larger than the other!
Well, that's what obsession does to us. Obsession distorts the truth and make us see things out of perspective. Worse still, we may become unbalanced in our daily lifestyle! Seemingly things which are right, we would view them as wrong just so that we can carry on indulging in our obsession! Example: During my secondary school days, there was a period I used to be obsessed with studying and achieving A1s' was all I could think of. I became an extremist and viewed everyone who didn't study hard as a freak or idiot! In the end, my lifestyle went haywire and I became a loner and ostracized myself from my classmates. Total disaster man... but thank God I woke up from this obsession after a few months.
