When Everyone Looks Down On Me

Posted by Mr.Keropok

"My grandmother can run faster than you!"

This was the common statement which I hear blasting at me since Primary to Secondary school days during PE lessons. I dreaded PE lessons because each time I would be humiliated by my PE teachers and classmates. I remembered there was one incident in primary school where I had forgotten to wear my PE attire. And I thought I could be excused from the lesson, but the PE teacher had other ideas. He asked me to take off my school uniform and join the rest of the class in jogging 2 rounds around the school! It was totally humiliating for me... imagine along with me where a full-of-fats boy was running half naked around the school, causing weird stares and hysterical laughters from the other teachers and students in the school! Soon I became the laughing stock of my school!

This was just one of the many traumatic incident which happened to me in my fatty bum bum days. I was laughed at my girls because of my size, taunted by neighbourhood boys and being thrown stones at....etc. I desperately wanted to prove everyone wrong, but it wasn't easy to slim down. It wasn't possible to turn into Prince Charming overnight.. not even Marie Franc Bodyline can do that!

After years of enduring the humiliation.... years of training and running hard on the street soccer court, getting involved in track and field training... I finally slimmed down! Now nobody can call me names anymore! =)

Two full marathons (42KM), one half-marathon (21KM), one vertical marathon (72 storeys), completed 70KM out of 100KM walkathon challenge. These were what I accomplished within the last two years.

Every fat boy has his day!
