Tears are the material out of which heaven weaves its brightest rainbow - F.B. Meyer
When was the last time you cried or shed a tear? Yesterday? A week ago? Or for some of us (espacially guys), you have never cried for a long long time? Well, I am proud to share that over the past one year, I have cried more than I have cried in my entire life. I must admit that I am not a very emotional kind of guy, but somehow tears tend to roll down easily from my eyes this past year.
Don't get me wrong. It's not that my life has been full of traumatic moments that I tear. Moments of sadness, moments of heartache, moments of despair and helpness. However, there are also moments of thankfulness, heartwarming and touching moments and tears of joy.Trust me, tears are not just meant for the girls only... It's ok for guys to cry too. Good to get in touch with our emotions and flush our hearts out.
I remembered something that happened to a good friend a few months back that left me feeling really sad and disappointed. My heart was so griefed that as I sat down to talk with my mentor, I just kept crying and crying. The pain in my heart was unspeakable.
Wasted tears? Never. Through it I came to learn to be a better friend, confidante and companion to my good friend. Miraculously, there is always a rainbow after each thunderstorm. The disappointment, grief and tears shed were the thunderstorms that I went through. Our strengthen friendship was the most beautiful rainbow that came out of the thunderstorm.
