Memoirs of the laptop...

Posted by Mr.Keropok

Saturday, 19 Aug, 4:55PM - In the process of restarting the laptop, the system got hanged. And started to go into endless cycles of re-booting and unable to go into Windows.

Monday, 21 Aug, 10:56AM - Surrendered my laptop to Fujitsu Service Center for repair. Diagnosed that system crashed because of two antivirus running concurrently. Prescription is to re-format the whole system. Have to top up extra charges to back up my files inside.

Wednesday, 23 Aug, 11:45AM - Called up the service center to check on status of laptop repair. They just got started. Indicated to them to back up my desktop and D-drive, cos it contains all my important files and precious photos.

Thursday, 24 Aug, 11:20AM - Service center staff called me and told me there were glinches in my laptop that doesn't allow them to retrieve my files from desktop. Means most of my photos are gone!

10 minutes later - Another call again. This time they told me they cannot locate the D-drive! But they have successfully re-formatted the whole system and managed to get it up and running again.

Was quite down after receiving the last few phonecalls which was like a post-mortem analysis of my laptop, telling how gone-case it has become. What saddens me most was that all the precious photos were unretrievable! But after settling my thoughts, I am glad that my laptop got "resurrected" and can still function well. It's gonna be a new beginning for my laptop when I collect it later. A painful journey, but a valuable lesson learnt.

Reflection: Life without problems is NOT life at all! Day in day out we face with many problems, there is no escaping from problems! What's crucial is we learnt how to live and cope with the problems that come along in life. In the midst of problems, one does not waver or run away, but rises up as an overcomer! How is it possible?

They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly. - Psalm 112:7-8
