YES, NO JOKE! These were my 'vital statistics' when I was in Secondary 2. Apparently it seems that there was a suddenly horizontal expansion of my body size within those years from Primary to Secondary school. Probably to compensate for the improporation from the wobbly big head I had when I was a toddler.

But these were not statistics which I was proud of in those days. I get teachers, friends and relatives laughing, sniggering and poking fun of me with ridiculous names that totally damaged by pride and self-esteem. FATTY BUMBUM, AH-BUI, FATSO, SLOW COACH, BAK CHANG (dumpling), SHAN CHUM BA (roast pork)... these were just the handful of terminology which everyone calls me. As I look back now, I can afford to laugh. But trust me, during those times, I walk everywhere with my head bowed down.

During PE lessons, I would always be the slowest runner. In class, I would always get top ranking in studies... but counting from the back, which means last. In CCA, I didn't have any.. I ended up in Gardening Club sweeping leaves and plucking leaves off bonsais. My favorite sports was soccer.. but because of my size, I was always asked to be the goalkeeper and scoring goals will only be a fantasy for me. I was a nobody... or in youth lingo, I was a NOOB!

Only until Secondary 3 did I developed something which I am good at... BOWLING! After a few recreational tries, I found that I was quite good at it. And I felt good being able to finally do well in something.. I felt good that I was able to achieve better results than my other friends who played with me.

Since that day on, I swung all my efforts onto bowling with a dream of becoming a national player even! I would go bowling once a week with my father and soon, I even got my own bowling ball and shoes! Gosh, I feel so professional man! After scrapping through Secondary school, I went onto JC and was part of the pioneering school bowling team which took part in nationals' competition! Don't play play ah.. my highest score ever achieved was 246, averaging about 180 in each game!

It doesn't matter what people say to me and how they look down on me.. I choose NOT TO give up! It ain't over till the fat boy says so! =)
