I was flipping through some childhood photos and this caught my eye.
This photo was probably one of the rare moments in my kiddo days when I actually was smiling! I was born with an inproportional head size, almost one quarter times larger than normal. Thus whenever I walk, I would be wobbly and unsteady... just like Humpty Dumpty, having great falls wherever I went. Thus most of the time, my head would have all forms of bruises, bumps and blue-blacks all over. My mum gave these bumps a special name.. they are called "Buah Lu Ku"!
I remembered once toppling down and my head when crashing straight into a brick. The corner of the brick smashed hard into the center of my forehead *Ouch* It was a bloody accident which left a deep scar on my forehead which is still visible till today.
Amazingly according to my mum, that accident didn't scare nor prevent me from walking around on my own despite my topsy turvy condition. After a few days of rest, big wobby head me was up running around again and getting myself into minor knocks and falls again!
As I reflected upon this laughable childhood incident, I came to understand an important principle... Heros are never pinned down, they rise again after each fall. =)
(PS: More posts coming up about my young heroic days! Watch out for the cute photos too!)
